The Department provides the learner with exposure to all aspects of anaesthesia, critical care, and pain management. There are 15 operating rooms located in the SJRH with 14 anaesthetists on staff. We provide core training for residents in Dalhousie Anaesthesia and CCFP Emergency Medicine programs. Elective opportunities may vary from 2 - 4 weeks, depending on your area of interest.
