Black's Harbour - Community

Black's Harbour, population 1,200, is located in the Southwestern region (Charlotte County) of New Brunswick and provides the mainland gateway to Grand Manan Island, located 200 miles offshore.

Black's Harbour is a small fishing village with a strong sense of community that is evident to all visitors to the area.  The village is home to Connors Brothers Limited, a major provincial employer and the world's largest sardine company with a workforce of 4,000 people during peak production periods.  Fishing has been a vital part of Black's Harbour's existence for over 200 years.
